I was watching Robin Hood – The Russel Crowe version - and it - TopicsExpress

I was watching Robin Hood – The Russel Crowe version - and it gets me thinking. England, Great Britain has had its Kings & its Queens. When they are good, life is O.K, but when they are bad, life is terrible. History has shown in England, France, Rome and other places that hereditary rule doesn’t always bring a prosperous life. Why? Well you can’t vote them out when they suck. Yet watching this movie I understand why England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales formed as a union, devised the Westminster Parliament and created a constitution that dictated Royalty and government’s obligations to the people. Australia too, has its own constitution and for some time now we have been considered an Independent, sovereign nation. Yet how can we be completely Independent when our constitution was created by British subjects under British law and still remains part of British law no matter what the Australia Act, 1986 says. The Australia Act 1986 made changes to our constitution to separate us completely and consider the U.K and its Head of State a foreign entity. How can you make changes to our constitution without a referendum, which is a clear condition set by Queen Victoria herself? So are we supported by our constitution which is held under crown law by the monarch, who is considered a foreign Head of State according to the Australian Act, 1996 without a referendum held for the people to vote? I mean this shit is confusing as all hell. Was this the plan? The Aussie populace is to drunk & caught up in sport & movies to realise what has happened. If we are considered a sovereign nation, I am asking for a constitution that is written by Australian citizens for Australian citizens and represented by an Australian citizen. A Constitution that recognised all Australian’s including the tradition owners. One that directs how our government is mean to represent us and act for us. A constitution that protects every citizen from a wayward government. Our country has gone through many changes, first with the indigenous folk, then with the convicts, followed by settlers & now Australian citizens. It will always continue to evolve, but that should be under our own conditions. We can only truly have this if we are completely independent of the Monarch. Do not listen to the fear campaigns, because our lives will only get better. This is because we will truly be masters of our domain. The People as a collective sovereign hold the biggest value to Australia and should be afford the right to determine its future. # Side note is it just me or should old Rusty Crowe steer clear of period films.
