I was watching This Week with my man George just now. When it ended I was busy in the kitchen..just left it on and one of those church sermon shows came on....I actually liked what he had to say. Good reminder for all of us: There is always something making us feel like we dont measure up. As long as you compare your situation to others you will never feel good about yourself. There will always be someone more talented, more beautiful, more successful. You have to realize you arent running their race, you are running your race. I am sure I am not the only one that feels there are few things more unnerving than the constant desire to keep up with the Jones.....AND the flip side of that is a bit more complicated - feeling like we have to dampen or minimize our successes and joys as to not appear as if we are unaware of others struggles. I am the boss of my own race. Sounds good to me.
