I was watching the news this morning. Two billionaires, Milken and Redstone are donating to a university to find ways to get Americans, especially lower economic Americans into a life style which will reduce the impact of chronic health issues like obesity and diabetes . Such issues cost lives, and raise the cost of health care by trillions. Both men had cancer and changed their life style to live longer, believing the changes were the reason they are alive to day. In particular, the want to see Americans exercise more. Also in the news were reports of parents who ignore kids because they are glued to the internet. Besides hurting the kids, these parents are not exercising, and setting an example to their kids to sit and peck away at screens instead of getting up and doing. So, I am getting up and playing nine holes of golf walking, later I will do a few workshop chores,and then water aeorobics. Then, and only then will I allow my self fifteen minutes of on line time. Ta ta for now.
