I was watching the news today and they were saying that, they believe in order for the police to treat people of color any better, they will require more training. I would have to disagree, you cant train someone to put a value on another persons life, respect them as a person, judge them on their character or give a damn about them if they do not do this before they take the job. There are some great law enforcement people out there that I personally know and respect. But, I have met some that would just as soon as run you over with their cruiser than to even try to be pleasant with you. I have been stopped over 10 times for DWB and never given a ticket. 5 of those times they asked if they could search my car and all 5 times I said NO! Racism is not taught in the police academy, they bring it with them and then use the badge to hide behind as they pursue their own personal agenda. I have a certain respect for law enforcement, I actually wanted to be a member myself once upon a time. But, I saw some things, heard some things and experienced some things that completely changed my mind. I might lose a friend or two behind this statement, but the truth is just that...The truth.
