I was watching the pictures of PTI Dharna in Peshawar. I fully support the position that drones should be stopped. But we can not achieve this objective unless we form a national coalition of partners that are sincere in making Pakistan a stronger nation state. While watching today’s PTI dharna pictures I saw Sheikh Rashid who was Information Minister of General Musharraf who allowed Pakistan to become part of war on terror. I saw Laiquat Baloch who was part of MMA government in KP province which allowed NATO supplies to go through the roads to reach Afghanistan. I saw Shah Mahmood Qureshi who was Foreign Minister during PPP government and did not opposed drone strikes. In his speech today I would have accepted his position if he had apologized for not being able to stop drones during his tenure as foreign minister. I don’t think these are the kind of people who want drones to stop. We have drones today because these people made bad decisions. Only PTI can reform Pakistan but to achieve this objective educated urban middle class, labor class and small farmers have to come forward to become part of the decision making in PTI.
