I was working late one night and had this song on some sort of CD with a couple hundred MP3s. It was shortly after the events of 9/11. With my headphones on I happened to glance over to the television. CNN was showing footage of people whos only choice was to select between burning to death or falling hundreds of feet to their deaths. Then they showed video of a guy jumping from the burning tower and followed his body as it tried to swim through the air. Suddenly he disappeared off camera. I took off my headphones just in time to be petrified by the most horrific and gut wrenching sound of a crash. Then, in an attempt to refocus the confusion and sadness that was cycling in my brain I grabbed my sharpee and wrote a poem/lyrics to a piece titled Where was Superman.
