I wasnt always against the police. Its only in recent years that the heavy handed force combined with decreases in citizen rights has widened the disconnect between police and citizens. I had no specific major incident that changed my opinion. I didnt get arrested or in trouble. Im a law abiding geeky economic guy from a small town. Im a husband and father. When people like me consider the police to be a danger to the public they, at the very least, have a massive pr problem. Its not just the playing military with tank like vehicles and fatigues and tear gas, its not just shootings and beatings of citizens and killings of family pets....its the grating day to day harassment by police like in this example. (Note: I call ourselves civilians because the police dress, behave and act as if they are playing war against an enemy...thats us.) Here we have a bully with a gun (in a city where civilians are not allowed to have guns) who doesnt even have the reading comprehension to understand the law arrest a peaceful musician for no reason whatsoever.
