I wasnt going to do a review of EVERY episode but I just wanted to - TopicsExpress

I wasnt going to do a review of EVERY episode but I just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed Mummy on the Orient Express tonight. In typical Doctor Who fashion its a ridiculous premise but unlike last weeks misstep this story was fun and interesting while dealing with the relationship between Clara and the Doctor breaking down (the only element of last weeks episode that was any good). Their last hurrah was bitter sweet as they tiptoed around one another trying to make sense and justify why this was their last adventure together as well as their struggle to resist their instincts about what exactly was going on. It says a lot about these two and that the Doctor doesnt just invite anyone to travel with him. I am also glad that Danny was portrayed as very patient instead of the obvious jealous and possessive partner. We already had that to an extent with Mickey (but his story arc worked) and we had insecure when it came to Rory so its been done. Claras choice at the end bothered me but I dont hate it as a story point. Her words As long as you bring me back home safe and on time feels very foreboding. Oh an yes I know weve had a Christmas special where a spaceship is in the shape of sea vessel named Titanic but a ship in the shape of a carriage train was just a little too ludicrous for me. But meh... Overall, a really good episode. :)
