I wasnt going to do one of these, but my heart is too full and its going to explode. Its amazing. You really learn more from losing than winning. I learned once again how special my team, the Small Town Outlaws is when they refused to be defeated by our losses this weekend. Hugs, kisses, so many happy tears, proclamations of love, loud enthusiastic cheering, and so much darn appreciation for each other. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I love every single one of these ladies (and gents). I have never been on a team before where everyone likes each other off skates too. So many of us pushing through our own mental and physical struggles this weekend after a seasons worth of minor injuries piling up. If there was ever going to be drama or bickering, it would have been this weekend when we were down against our biggest rivals...and drama never came. Just more support, love, and encouragement for each other. Im glad the season is over because I have a lot that needs healing and rest in this fifth season derby body and Im actually going to take time to get that rest! But after this weekend of bonding, I already miss my teammates.
