I watched Donnie Darko again, this time with the commentary track with Richard Kelly and Kevin Smith, of all people. DAMN, that is a good movie! I already liked it, but some of the added insights by Kelly just made it better. There is SO much going on in that flick and it is incredible that it was nearly scrap-heaped after Sundance. No matter what Kelly says, though, skip the theatrical version. The directors cut version is TEN times better. Great movie.
