I watched the brand new trailer for Terminator: Genisys, so I though I would talk about real quick. I thought the trailer was okay at best. They chose a poor week to release the trailer, considering Jurassic World and The Force Awakens both got new trailers. The Terminator seems to be your usual run-of-the-mill action trailer. I found it weird that multiple characters state the famous Come with me if you want to live catchphrase from the first film. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in the film, which is pretty cool. We also see him utter his catchphrase before becoming a missile essentially. The effects were good. By no means was it a bad trailer, but it will most likely never beat Judgement Day as the best of the series. It may do better than Rise of the Machines and will absolutely do better than Salvation, but I doubt it can top the first and second. As it stands it is my 3rd most anticipated film for next year. One last thing I should add, is that it seems to mess with the timeline of the first 3 films(for example, scenes of characters using Colt M4 Carbines which went into service in the early 90s, but the T-1000 is driving an early 80s police car). In conclusion, I am excited for this film. I want it to be good. Im sure it will be decent film. I also wanted to state that I will no longer be using number scores for when I do these reviews for movies, trailers, video games,etc. I feel that the scores detract from the point my reviews are trying to make, which is experience these things for yourselves. I hope you enjoy this trailer review. im sure that there will be more to come.
