I went and watched Selma today guys. And let me tell you, that movie, is wonderful. The 1960s are probably the history that Im most well-versed in, and this movie brought me to tears /twice/. I dont cry over movies. Not even when Dobby died. But this movie is perfect. However, I found the Alabama church bombing a bit lacking in the artistic depth the director attempted. Also, I did not like Lyndon B. Johnsons portrayal in the movie. He was a good guy, and he wanted to focus his attention on the civil rights movement, but had to defer due to a war he didnt want to be involved in and had no knowledge about. People always forget that he did a lot of great work in office because of Vietnam, and I always hate when he doesnt get painted in a good light. But anyway, watch this movie. Cry a bunch. And be shocked that this was the way of life not very long ago. And feel bad about the country when you can still relate parts of it to real life.
