I went out to dinner with my dear friend, Ting Abu. She is wrapping up her latest film portraying an early 20th century Thai stick puppet. She is mind-blowing... wow ... a Thai stick puppet? If anyone can pull that off, it is Ting. The film is called LADY OF SATIVA directed by Tim Burton, script by Fabiano Canosa. It co-stars Johnny Depp as Hatchet Face, an arsonist who sees god & mends his ways with scissors, needle & thread & Lindsey Lohan as Wanda, the baby Polish one-legged doll. The film has do with Ting & a small Polish doll who decides to jump from the highest Sativa tree but is rescued by Ting’s Character, Lady Sativa. Long story short, they discover that Wanda is Tings long lost daughter. The rest is a variable laugh riot even at the end where Wanda is trying to piece Ting back together with no luck after Ting slips on a banana. Here are some photo stills I received from Ting.
