I went to Cuba in 91 and performed at the Plaza de la Revolución - TopicsExpress

I went to Cuba in 91 and performed at the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana for a crowd of about 30,000 who knew every word of The Devil Made Me Do It. Very surreal, especially since English is not the official language of the country. I was told they had all been exposed to the music via Radio Free Miami. I met Assata Shakur (Black Panther living there in exile) while there, and had dinner with Fidel at his residence who told me he knew of me because of Min. Farrakhan. Was an exceptional experience. Met a lot of Chernobyl victims too -- they were there to get free health care at the time. I wrote Assatas Song shortly after my return for my Sleeping with the Enemy album. Now I see that were on the road to normalizing relations with Cuba. Lets see how this plays out… #guerrillafunk nytimes/2014/12/18/world/americas/us-cuba-relations.html?_r=0
