I went to Fabian Palomino’s funeral today. He died a few days - TopicsExpress

I went to Fabian Palomino’s funeral today. He died a few days ago at 90, living a full life, being blessed with a wonderful wife, great children and beautiful grandchildren and decades of public service, dating back to the days of Mayor Robert Wagner Jr. (was it the rent control or rent stabilization legislation that he wrote?!) Fabian was my ethics professor at Brooklyn Law School and a colleague in the Adminstration of Governor Mario Cuomo. When I listened to his numerous attributes being sadly and joyfully listed by his friends and family, it brought back many fond memories and collectively offered still one more reminder of what one very smart, determined, iconoclastic and creative individual can do if he wants to bend history a bit (to borrow a phrase from Robert Kennedy). Goodbye Fabian.
