I went to Victoria for the Enbridge protest last fall and was immensely impressed. It was an honor to accompany First Nations procession with our salmon image and do a light projection on the Legislative Building the night before the rally. There are a number of lessons to be learned from the Enbridge fight. Inspired by the experience I wrote this essay in order to document a few obvious ones. As you can tell if you read the essay - and if you look at some of our subsequent work, I have taken those lessons to heart. backbonecampaign.org/component/k2/item/85-nwasfossilfuelcorridor.html This author gives a good sense of why we should both celebrate and learn from the temporary victory against the shifting fossil fuel extraction target. Come to our Action Camp, LocalizeThis.org/ to prepare for the work ahead.
