I went to a classmates Halloween party last night. Though I was happy to be invited, I felt quite hesitant due to the fact that I wouldnt know anyone else there. This is aside from the fact that this friend of mine isnt exactly of my age group/generation. I was told that I could bring a friend so I did and sort of put the decision to go on him. Hehe! He was willing to go with me so I decided to, hoping for the best, despite my hesitant disposition. At first, when we got there, it did feel a bit awkward, but I just did what I could to be social. I was also concerned for how my friend felt. Later on, more people came and we started talking about more and more stuff--which I always look forward to in social gatherings. I and my friend were enjoying ourselves. I didnt feel like I wanted to leave, which is usually a good indicator that a partys going well. We eventually did though due to it getting late. We left a bit after midnight. This whole thing was an instance of me getting out of my comfort zone. But yeah, it all turned out swell. This is a video I took inside my friends Mini Cooper (2007) on the way to the party. Even though Ive known this friend for a while now, last night was the first time Ive seen the inside of, and even more so been in, his car. I see the appeal in its aesthetics.
