I went to a fellow firefighters funeral today from our neighboring district. I listen to stories and watched people morn. I am struggling but not necessarily because of his death but because of what he leaves behind. I watched his wife morn, watched his early 20s son morn but what is bothering is his little girl sitting there just waiting for her dad to come back. Little to no emotion, maybe because she doesnt understand. Death is the end the end result of human life....but no kid should have to loose a parent...especially that young. My heart hurts for you. May you find understanding and acceptance in all that has been put in front you at such a young age.
