I went to have lunch with my cousin today. She only lives about 10 minutes from my house and we enjoy having a simple lunch and chat every now and then! I was surprised today by the warm humid air after many chilly days and on my drive, I saw the most brilliant colored leaves I think Ive seen in my entire life! I didnt have my camera with me, but thought it would be just the thing to go home and get it afterward and make the same journey, stopping to take photos. I tried to remember the best spots as I drove, where I could find the most brilliant reds and the sparkling golds and glowing orange leaves. So many hues. So perfect. As I left our lunch though, it had been raining. Leaves in my cousins yard were standing in little piles in puddles on the ground. I took a different route home, and was again amazed by the wall of color before me! By the time I got home though, the sky had darkened and there was a big storm brewing. The leaves were blowing off trees and across one yard to another. Many trees were half bare. I shot these from my door step. Nothing compared to what I had seen earlier. Those will have to remain just a memory. But a bit of color to remember them by.
