I went to my work, Hi-Time Wine Cellar and walked around on my new prosthetic leg WITHOUT CRUTCHES for the first time today!!!!! I was driving down there to get wine for a Friendsgiving this weekend and in my head I was telling myself to not use my crutches. When I got there I strapped my leg on and said to myself, you got this and off I went. Scary as all hell without the security of crutches, but it was exhilarating! One step after another I made my way in and there I was, walking around on my prosthetic leg I got 2 days ago without crutches less than a month after having a below the knee amputation! I was so happy! Such a good feeling to be on my way to walking and running without the blinding pain I had before! It was a feeling I havent had for 15 years! It was definitely sore, and awkward, and my balance isnt quite there yet, but YEAH BUDDY! I was so stoked I had to go by The Frog House and show off to Zach Leonardo and Cheeno! Also at Frog House was a friend I havent seen in years, Elsa Haaseth . So great to see her and know she is killing it! So, Im on my way! Today its walking without crutches for feet, in a few days it will be yards, and before I know it I will be walking miles!!!!
