I went to see Joe Bonamassa last Friday night in Auckland, it was his first time having me as a fan in his audience! I loved having my ears rocked to hell and back by his amazing guitar skills and vocal chords, but equally, for me, I loved his drummer and percussionist just as much (see my attached youtube clip). It was a great night and made so much better by a total stranger who had left a free ticket at the Town Hall ticket booth just prior to me going in to purchase my ticket, so when I said I wanted to buy a ticket I was told I could have the free ticket. Now thats some happy blues right there! When I went in to the concert guess who I sat next to? It was Wayne Alexander of Dunedin who had flown up from Dunedin just for Joes concert whose friend couldnt make it to the concert so he left the free ticket at the ticket booth!!
