I went to the District 201 Morton West HS board meeting last night hoping to get some clarification on the new equal interval grading scale that was introduced this school year, but questions were not allowed (again). Instead we (a few parents, a few teachers and a few students) corralled a couple of board members after the meeting so we could try to get some answers and explain our concerns. While it seemed that we were having an open conversation and trying to get the facts straight, it was very disconcerting (and rather odd) that the two board members and one department director made several comments stating that the Superintendent would be less than pleased that they were talking with us about this topic. What are your thoughts?
