I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. ~ HENRY DAVID THOREAU I woke up feeling melancholy and suspended, when I received a gift of photographs from my dear sister in Karnataka. They were images of the Tungabhadra river, wet in serenity and peace. I felt her soft whisper say, Step out into the sunlight of your garden, little sister. Hearing her sweet, loving voice, I stepped out into our garden in the garb of a wonder-struck, inquisitive, two year old. Dressed in unpretentious comfort, with a beating heart, that began to run helter-skelter with wild abandon and glee! There is a rush of life all around me: the rich tertiary hues of fallen flowers, a play of healing warmth upon these limbs & face, a thin veil of unexpected coastal, winter-breeze caressing the fragility of a new born leaf, a delightful cluster of ripening jackfruits, and much more ... Sharing much love, gratitude & tenderness with all of you, through these snippets from our garden ...
