I went to visit a very special man who is sick tonight. When I walked in, he grabbed my hand and began to cry. He told me his wife had passed away. He was so stricken with grief for not being able to be with his love for the past several weeks since he is so weak. I told him that she is with him now and knows how well he took care of her before he became ill. It broke my heart. Why is it that the better you are as a person, the harder life is for you? I talked to him for an hour and just held his hand. I thanked him for being such an amazing friend to my Dad and made sure he knew just how incredible he is as a person. I told him I wished I could do something for him. He said that just being there helped, but it really is a feeling of failure knowing that we cant take away a persons pain. Many prayers will go out tonight for this man that he will have peace in his heart because he truly deserves that. RIP Eileen Stedner. You are already at peace and John will smile when he sees you again.
