I went to visit the Academy for the 1st time in many years. It amazes me. I felt like I was in Rocky III where Apollo takes him to that gym in L.A.. Every kid in there had the eye of the tiger, absolutely. It was inspiring and I noticed that Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronins estate had donated their Oscars, Emmys and Tonys to the school and in a secure wing of the school they are on display there along with Humes Kennedy center Award and posters and pictures and all the class pictures from C.B. DeMille to Agnes Moorehead to Edward G. Robinson, Grace Kelly, Elias Koteas to Danny Devito to Robert Redford, Adrian Brody, Kim Cattrall to my Kate and my ex-girlfriends ex-boyfriend from the Academy Tim Sharp who was in his 1st year when my colleagues and I were members of Harrieta Peterkas last company before her tragic loss and many more stars that light the firmament of Hollywood stars shining down on the glory of that my most beloved Alma Mater, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the oldest, most storied and glorified acting school in the English speaking world. God I loved that place. I sat with Zip and chewed his ear off for hours then wandered around a bit. I think everyone should do that at least once every 10 to 14 years :). It was great to touch home base, my cup ran over with a newness of drive and spirit inspired by the greatness and legacies of my predecessors, my stellar ex-gal and other victorious friends in showbiz. Thanks for stoking the flames of my ambition, I needed a little gas on that fire. :)
