I went with my friend Ana Diaz tonight to salem county to visit a homeless family living in a minivan. They have 3 children and mom is 8 months pregnant. One child is only 11 months old. They have a warm blanket Ana gave them and clothes. We need some food that they can eat in car no access to cook anything. We are also looking for a place they can rent where someone can waive the first and last month. It will be less expensive for them to rent a place then to go to a hotel which they can not afford..... please of anyone can help with food donations or know of any places for rent that is reasonable let us know... its heartbreaking...... please please please ask everyone and anyone and open your hearts to this family in desperate need. Its getting cold out..... nobody should live like this. Because they were homeless in delaware and are now in nj there is a law you cant get help with housing if u came out of state homeless???? What????? I am so baffled by our system and why so many people are suffering.... thanks Ana for taking me to meet them...... we can all fall on hard times at any time and would hope people would help if it was my family... any ideas for a fundraiser would be great. Mom did get hired for a job starting Sunday however she is 8 months pregnant so that will be a very limited time frame..... spread love the world needs more of that!
