I will accept there are no silly questions over there are no silly - TopicsExpress

I will accept there are no silly questions over there are no silly statements. But I believe there are both silly questions and statements. You read a lot of shaking my head (smh) around these parts to many of them. Proverbs provides a breadth, depth and width of wisdom in preventing you from leaving the will of God toward your fellow man/woman, especially The Brethren. The Proverbs are not prescriptive but preventative. You are given psychological insight and doing what they say should work. You can give a fool a soft answer and they still become upset/angry so a soft answer may not turn away wrath and grievous words may not always stir up anger. Some people just dont get upset over some things. (Proverbs 15:1) Read this how to on human relations. My memory is jostled with Dale Carnegies, How to Win Friends and Influence People book, one that I refer to after all these years. ▬Proverbs 26:3-5 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools. Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.◄ You have to deal with people according to their nature while never losing sight of the word of God. People will make comments on a post and it is clear they did not understand what was said. Its difficult to fit the post to one persons level but in general conversations, thats what we must do. Pastors are challenged with this each time they must deliver a sermon. The spiritual maturity is as diverse as the people in the congregation. I love these verses, particularly about the rod for the back of fools. Its good to know its okay to think about doing that yet not doing it. *grin* Have a Sunshiny Saturday/Weekend! And if the sun doesnt shine where you are, the Son is and you can bask in Him. Hugging life and you with love, Avis Ward Avis Ward Ministries
