I will allow myself to dream a little.. Its 2015 and Im elected PM of Mauritius. We auction off all the limos that belong to the actual government and use the money for properly equipped ambulances and a few Heli-ambulances; more fire engines to replace the actual fleet (50% are out of use); sell Clarise House and Le Chateau de Reduit and use sale proceeds to build a new high tech hospital for Cancer and other diseases and better housing for the elderly, single parents, orphans and poor. Im quite happy and comfortable in my house as it is and love driving my Land Rover Defender so much that it would be hard for me to accept a chauffeur driven limo or a cold pompous palace to live in. Now since we wont be wasting any money on fuel guzzling limos, Champagne and Caviar banquets, Biometric ID Cards, drains and corruption we could build more schools, invest in renewable energy, beautify the island, invest in crime prevention, invest in the youth and future.
