I will be 45 years old next year. Those who knew me in high school (in my teens), those who knew me as a Police Crime Scene Technician (in my 20s-30s), those who knew me as a Water Department Business Analyst (in my 30s), can all verify that I had absolutely no regard for religion, in general, and Christianity, in particular. For the better part of my life I was an atheist (at times, at best, an agnostic). I have always required EVIDENCE to be my foundation of truth. Some have wondered over my conversion -- not only about how I came to accept Christianity, but also how I came to become a gospel preacher. When I learned that God does not accept blind faith, but expects all people to examine (prove - KJV) everything carefully, and hold fast to that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and that, based on undeniable EVIDENCE, man can know that, 1) God exists; 2) The Bible is the inspired word God; 3) Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, then I had something I could work with, and I set out to examine that evidence. If I could have disproved it, I promise you I would have! More to follow, but right now I have a mid-week Bible class to teach :-)
