I will be returning to Nicaragua to continue the exciting work of spreading the work of natural building creating resiliency in communities, where women are traditionally limited to domestic tasks and can be left vulnerable, concrete is encouraged as a safer building material to replace traditional earthen structures such as adobe, and young people are leaving families to beformally educated and then having a harder time returning to their small, rural communities. Its powerful work in a region that has been environmentally and economically brought to its knees throughout, and again in recent history. I have volunteered my time to this work for several months each year and am raising funds to support the outreach of this work through providing materials and scholarships.
