I will be starting level 2 occupational therapy fieldwork in a mental health facility in about a week. While I am excited to go out and do the things I learned in school over the last 2 years, I am a bit wary...especially because I will have minimum supervision, which is not always such a great thing. Common diagnoses at this facility are schizophrenia, schizoid affective disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and the ominous chronic depression disorder. If any of you, professionals or not, have any pertinent s suggestions, advice, treatment, activities ideas/resources (medical or non-) , I would appreciate your help. Thanks :)
