I will hold my tongue no longer. In this community we have to many people who parade around as the all knowing, the face of the breed, people who other look up to as breeders and handlers, but do we truly know these people? Do you know who your dog is going to live with when you send him to a so called profesional handler. Most dont even bother to ask for a address as to where their dog is going to be living. Case and point: Jerry Pressley a one time friend of mine. I too thought Jerry was a outstanding individual of this community and a good friend. To only learn that he was entertaining shit talking behind my back but thats neither her nor there. While I was friends with Jerry I made several visits to his house, even lived with him for a short period of time. In my visits I suspected he was not taking proper care of his dogs and his home since every time I was there I always had fleas jumping off my legs when wearing shorts, the stench that would come from his garage while standing in his driveway, and his lack of interest of him showing me his dogs. We as dog people will jump at the opportunity to show off our stock when people visit our homes but not once did he ever show me any of his dogs. I was not till I moved in with him that discovered the horrific things that were going on. A house infested with fleas, a garage that was unbearable to go in due to the smell, dogs in extremely poor health conditions living in their own piss and shit. When I learned of the situation I spoke to him about it and ask if something was going on that he wasnt tending to his dogs properly but he did not know what I was talking about and thought the conditions of his dog and home were normal. I offered to help him, that if he bought the supplies I would pressure wash and bleach his garage, that I would shampoo his whole house, that I would help him get his dogs back to where they needed to be. He agreed but never followed through. Throughout the years I have witnessed him loose many dogs, Que a female he bought from Phil Titan Kennels Diperna, when she was bought from Phil she was a 75ish lb female, Que supposedly had gotten sick and when I went to see her she weighed all of 35 to 45 lbs. He stated he nursed her back to health and placed her out with a friend. When I lived there with him which was for a period of close to 2 months every day I asked to go see Que since the person lived close by as he stated to only get excuses every day. His purpose with Que was to use some smokey straws he has, to this day he has not done it, so I assume she just fell victim to his lack of care for his dogs. On another occasion I car pooled to a NC show that was thrown by Sig TheCabinet. We spend the weekend there and when we go back his neighbor was outside and stopped us to inform us that one of his dogs had died and had been in the middle of the yard dead and his other neighbor was gonna call animal control. He states that the dead dog was not his, that another Bully that was not his somehow got into his yard and died in it while he had left his dogs loose in his backyard all weekend while we were away for the show. How a outside dog would break into someones yard with a bunch of loose dogs that are not known to him seems pretty fishy to me. I could go on with more incidents and other people negative experiences with him. People who have gotten dogs back with all sort of health issues, the usual run around he gives you when you ask for you dog back, the months and months of excuses of why he forgot or had no space to bring your dog to a show to give it back to you. I know many people who he has messed up their dog but have not wanted to say anything. People with pictures and videos. Maybe this status will help them speak out. Love me or hate me I am about these dogs, these dogs are what is most important to me and I can not sit by idle while dogs are living miserable lives and DYING! If you support or condone this man or this treatment of dogs then feel free to go ahead and delete me. Not everyone is who they seem to be at shows, nobody will ever care for you dog like you do, especially someone who doesnt even care for his own animals. If you do choose to send your dog to a handler please please please go do a home check, know exactly where your dog is gonna be and the conditions where he is gonna live because you never know you might be sending your dog to live in filth or worse to his death.
