I will like to shared my bad experience upon a visit to a vet. I will not named the vet here but one thing for sure that we as the owner of our furbabies must have a certain levels of knowledge & not 100% trusting on the vet due to their professionalism which on the other hand causing a problem to my beloved Sparkles. A visit to this vet is to ensured that Sparkle is healthy & no complications arises after she delivered all her babies. Upon consultation, vet deduced that Sparkle lack of calcium or calcium deficiency which I doubt on the vet diagnosis as it is just based on questions & answers session. I try to find out further if the calcium injection is going to benefit her as I do not believed that Sparkle lacks of calcium but the vet says that Sparkle may die from nursing her babies when she has calcium deficiency. I finally submit myself to agree as I trusted this vet professionalism in her field. Sparkle was given 2 japs. One for multivitamins & the other was liquid calcium. Days goes & the 1st reaction was the 1st jap area had all the furs shed off revealing a tiny spot which continues to ozz out slimy liquid. Tot it was an insect bite but the next day the other jap spot appears similar to the 1st. Sparkle was growling in pain & my children call me up when I was working that the 2nd spot burst into a big wound & continues to ozz out puss & slimy blood. This is where the calcium jap was done. I decided to went to another vet & though it is already closed, it still accepts emergency cases with high consultation fees but to me Sparkles state is more important. Investigations reveal the horrific side whereby the calcium jap area was actually the size half of our palm which has lots of puss underneath the skin!!! What went wrong here is actually Sparkle DOES NOT HAS CALCIUM DEFICIENCY! Thats the reason why the liquid calcium is not absorbed by the body. A proper way to diagnose this is to do blood test which the previous vet didnt & just through questions & answers. Well I learnt my big lesson on this & throughout this ordeal, we lost the last baby we name Precious. Lets take from what Ive gone through as something for other members to remember. Below is the healing wound on Sparkle.
