I will lose friends over this post. But compared to what this nation is losing every day, it really doesnt matter to me anymore. A myriad of brave veterans died waiting for healthcare they fought for. Six American soldiers were killed to retrieve a deserter who converted to Islam and abandoned his platoon. We then rescued this deserter in exchange for five militants who will, most assuredly, murder again. All the while an American minister is left to die in an Iranian prison. No voice is raised, much less, effort to rescue him. This nation no longer suffers scandals to be discovered, rather our illegalities are now paraded as presidential edict and public policy. Too many patriots have numbed and dumbed themselves down to defend what they know, in their gut, is indefensible. Our moral outrage has lost its voice against the daily deluge of corruption. Sometimes I wonder if one illegality is perpetrated simply to interrupt the furor over yesterdays perpetration. Maybe Bergdahl will make us forget Benghazi. But dont worry, I am convinced more than ever that if elections were held today, nothing would change. Our people have the discernment of cabbage. Inevitably, someone will note how their individual circumstance seems better. But thats like extolling the virtue of a comfortable bed on the Titanic. (No comments please. All will be deleted).
