I will post more after we see Dr. Barnthouse, the Chiefs surgeon, on Thursday. Cassidys MRI showed a medial tear in her miniscus. This is not related to her original injury. She was not fully released to play at Pitt State, but practiced and went through the 1.5 hours per day of athletic training on top of regular practices. As college athletes know, the schedule is grueling. Cass was having a lot of pain in the inside of her knee. With the Surgeons advice and the MRIs results, Cass will no longer play volleyball. She is very sad, as she is giving up her first love, volleyball.
