“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” - TopicsExpress

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psa.139:14) We see here that David praises God for He had made him fearfully and wonderfully. Till today, the anatomy of the human body has been a challenge to the scientists. David realized this even in those days. This is fearful and wonderful. In the beginning, when God made the heavens and the earth, He created everything by His powerful word. He said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. But still, He never created Adam and Eve like that. God took the dust of the ground, made Adam with His hand and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. He became a living being. That is the reason why the prophet Isaiah says in Isa.64:8, “But now O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.” He made Eve also with His hand, taking a rib from Adam. I was made in secret. I was skilfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. When the hand of the Lord made me, my mother and I did not see my bones and my substance. But, my God saw them. Is it not wonderful? The days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them, the Lord had written them all in His book. Is this not the wondrous work of God? He had named me even before I was formed. In Ecc.11:5, the wise man says, “There are many things that I do not know. No one, not even a wise man can know how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child. This is the work of God who makes everything.” When David prays to God, he humbly remembers the love of God that made him fearfully and wonderfully and says, “O God, You have created me by Your hand; Do not forget this; Am I not the work of your hand? Perfect everything that concerns me; Do not forsake me.“ Prayer: O Lord! Do not forsake me. You make everything perfect that which concerns me. Thank You. Amen!
