I will rest a bit easier tonight. I made the decision 3 weeks ago but made it official today. I let my advisor know that I would not be taking the final college class I need to apply to the RN program this semester. Not taking Microbiology this semester means that I will fail to complete the courses required for ATCs annual February 1st deadline for application, so Ill have to wait until 2016 to apply. Under any other circumstance, I could never feel okay with this decision, but I actually feel at peace considering what were working through right now. No, its not the timeline Id envisioned, but most of what has happened over the past few weeks was not what Id envisioned because Gods plans are much, much bigger!!! God has taken complete control of our situation, and blessings on top of blessings, for many families, are in store!!! The number of special people that have offered to help in any way they can has been beyond touching. Those, with our same need, that havent been willing to share their personal story because they felt they didnt have a voice or it was too much to ask or hope for, feel empowered, cared for, hopeful and are openly sharing their need!!! Raleigh has undergone a transition of keeping his deadly condition a secret to openly sharing his experience and lifestyle adjustments with those who want to know and those he feels need to know. This is a time for me to focus on my family and follow the path God is leading me on. Honestly, at this point, Im not sure what my destination is, but I feel that God is showing, and preparing me for, His plan for my life. This semester begins in 5 days, and I would normally be frantically reading ahead in my text, Power Points and any other study material that could prepare me for our first day of class. Instead, our girls are spending the night at Nana’s and Papa’s, and Im fully prepared for, and focused on, Raleighs thyroid ultrasound at Emory tomorrow morning and am offering my complete Faith and Trust in Gods plan!
