I will share my potato soup recipe with yall the only problem if you are one that has to know how many cups or spoonfuls I cant help you. I am a dash a pinch throw in a handful pour until it loos right, :) I cook a large pan full so we can have it for the next day. peel potatoes & cut into small chunks I used about 8 to 10 chop onions but not to small I used two chop thick ham stake in small pieces I use about half of it add water about half way to the top of the potatos finish off with chicken broth just to cover potatoes cook until your potatoes are almost mushy take off of heat. I use to use half & half but I can no longer use milk products so I held my breath & added soy milk & then a small package of velveta chees. I just used half of one this time. Season to your taste. I use salt , pepper, garlic powder & cayenne. Let set on the burner you cooked it on for about 10 or 15 min with the burner still off so your cheese will not stick & burn
