I will start with saying Thank You to all of the Men and Women who have served our country so I can wake up and see my beautiful wife every morning and laugh with family and friends on a daily basis. If this catches your attention then please read on I think this will be worth a read maybe a share. So I went to go see the new movie Lone Survivor earlier today and Ive gotta say it was one of the coolest yet overwhelming experiences I have been apart of while at a movie. Ive always been a fan of military stories in movies, and Mark Walhberg has always done a great job depicting them. So as expected I went to see this one. Now for the part that made this so incredible. The crowd in the theater was older, definitely a lot of veterans and spouses watching on this Wednesday in early afternoon. The movie soon ended a few hours later. This was when the amazing happened. As the character Mark was playing narrates while watching him lay dying on a medics table I looked around and you could see EVERYONE focused on what he was saying and what was happening. The scenes to follow were pictures and names of the Military Personal that had lost their lives fighting in the war thats related the movie and I could help but be caught up in the emotions of the photos and the viewers around me. Many full blow crying and others wiping a handful of tears rolled down their faces. Not a single person moved during this, you couldnt hear a sound in the theater. Even after it ended everyone just sat in their seats. Wifes were gripping the hand of their husband who I can only assume lost family or friends in this war or others in the past. Others such as myself sat still thinking about everyone who sacrificed their lives so I can enjoy mine. But it didnt end there. As we exited the hall still no one talked just looked straight ahead trying to keep their composure as they walked out, but you could see the puffy red eye, some still with tears in them. Same when walking into the restroom and outside. All everyone did was smile and nod as they moved out of each others way. This was amazing to me and its all Ive been able to think about for the last two hours after the movie ended. So I had to share. I strongly encourage everyone to go see this movie and I hope you and others experience the same as I did. Thanks for reading the longest post I have ever made on Facebook. Haha
