I wish I could say this werent the norm, I wish I could say this isnt how it is for most of us... but I cant. This is exactly how it was for me, too, and how it has been (or worse) for most of the guys I know. The VA is not only failing our Veterans, its flat-out killing them, either slowly through the additional stress and aggravation, or quickly by pushing them over the edge to suicide. This is wrong, so very wrong, and needs to be addressed. Until then, however, we need to band together and take care of each other, just as we did downrange, because these dangers are real, and were losing just as many of our brothers and sisters here at home as we did in the firefights and IEDs in shitty, dusty, nasty parts of the world that none of us wanted to be in.
