I wish to warn anyone that will listen of something that have learned pertaining to my experience and observe also in my fellow man. It is so apparently not difficult to find that one has developed a great trust in a particular teacher or teachers and this is a deadly thing! I think based on my own experience and what I have heard from others that we wind up convinced that we are the beloved child of God and as such He would not allow me to have developed a confidence in this teacher or that teacher (or pastor, rabbi, priest or whichever title might apply). Though they may appear in every way to be upright wonderful people that love the Lord and claim to rely on the Bible as their source of truth, it in no way makes them trustworthy for truth! Even if they often give chapter and verse in support of a doctrine. DO NOT TRUST ANY OF THEM! Do not trust me or ANY person, it is deadly dangerous! This and ALL doctrine coming from the lips of men you ought to suspect with all gravity even absolutely rejecting anything as confirmed truth until YOU see it as truth yourself! (I can not explain how one finally comes to any confidence as it is beyond words I think) ...the point is NEVER accept through anothers eyes or logic it is in no way enough! Following this statement I intend to post Scripture which has convinced ME of this doctrine of extreme care. Dont trust ME and dont trust your own best thinking and emotions either! We read in Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Also we read in Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Yehovah with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (note that I quote for kjv but typically try to replace LORD with Yehovah because the original text never was LORD it was the four letters that make a word that is something like Yehovah or Jehovah or some think like Yaway Yavay etc ...I am not trying to come off superior in some way in this at all ... it is simply the spelling I feel personally feel more comfortable with...Im not a part of any sect or ANYTHING such as that just so you know!) Anyway in addition to the above two verses saying apparently to consider that any person is subject to lying and that we ought NOT to lean our OWN understanding there are also many other verses that lend to the idea. For example in Psalms 14: 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. and Psalm116:11 I said in my haste, All men are liars. Also there is Proverbs 28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. then Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Also there is the Bible speaking of God allowing one to have more understanding than ALL their teachers and ancient ones! Psalm 119:98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. (Note: concerning Psalm 119 I implore anyone concerned to take the time and read all of Psalm 119 with my suggestion that it is perhaps the THE best of gauges in Scripture to gauge if you truly have Christ!?? Because I think this entire Psalm shows the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ! ...Often when I am reading or listening to this particular portion of Scripture I find myself wanting so badly to have all these things apply to myself! ) I tell you I could go on and on with Scripture I think might reinforce my warning to you but there is plenty here as it as it stands I hope to warn a heart that fears God...yes? At any rate I suggest you would keep this warning in mind as you read Scripture whether Isaiah, Ezekiel, Job, Psalms, Proverbs etc and prayerfully taste for your own self and see if God lays this on your heart also as I think He has on mine. So sorry for my lack of writing skills. May the Lord richly bless you is my desire ..just please please do not trust any person for truth or your own emotional responses to anyones words either! Proverbs 5:14 I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. Ga 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
