I woke up early that fateful day, 9-11-2001, checked my email around 6:30 a.m., and saw the pictures online. It was my 8th anniversary. I ran to the TV and saw the horror and couldnt get my gaze off of the sights being broadcast. About a half hour later, my wife came downstairs and I briefly explained what had happened and that they were sure it was terrorists responsible for the crashes. She said that were probably going to go to war, but I said there isnt really a chance because these terrorists arent representing a country and who knows where they come from. Turns out she was right. I bow my head to those who lost their lives that day, the families who have endured hell as a result, and to those who wear a uniform and have served this great country in order to keep us free. What a day to have an anniversary! Tammie, happy 21st anniversary, and lets shoot for at least another 21!
