I woke up the second day of the trip (while we were out to see traveling north) and went out on the veranda while my mother took her shower. It turns out we were passing by a pod of whales that must have numbered at least 100+. I only had time to film it with the still camera, so you really cant see all the whales that were closer to shore, but at some points there were 2 or 3 spouts next to each other indicating a parent and babies. I had no idea there were that many whales living in the sea these days, much less that they would all travel together. It was one of the most amazing moments in my life. Shortly after that I got to see a whale jump out of the water, not once, but twice (something I have always wanted to see live). I missed the first 2 times he/she jumped, but got to see the final two times. Breathtaking to say the least.
