I woke up this morning with a revelation from the Lord. The other day I cancelled Hulu Plus to get closer to the Lord instead of wasting time watching Law and Order S.V.U. So yesterday my friend Phil and I went back to Planet Fitness after 2 days off from working out. Well I had no motivation to get back into working out at a level that is going to be of any use in my journey for better health. After I burned 225 calories on the arc trainer, I rested then Phil said he wanted to go to 5 guys for a burger combo. I was hungry too, so I talked him out of 5 guys and we went to Subway which is healthier. When we got there I saw that they had a 1/2 lb Pastrami sub. Caving to temptation, we both got this monster sub rather than a six inch turkey or chicken sub, which would have been healthier. After eating ️this ginormous sub all I wanted to do was take a nap. So we got on the bus and went home, leaving me with a feeling of defeat. When I woke up this morning, The Lord revealed to me that this whole scenario was an attack from the devil. See when we are not close to our creator by doing things like being slothful and spending hours and hours watching shows from Hollywood (things that replace lots of time we could be spending reading the Bible, Worshipping and Praising) the devil has no reason to attack us because he wants us to feel secure while having this separation from Jesus. Now when we move away from this sinful comfort zone, in a quest to better serve the Lord, that is when he attacks. Thank you Jesus for the devil finding me a worthy enough opponent of his, to feel the need to attack me. That shows me Im walking hand in hand with the Lord and going in the right direction.
