I woke up this morning with an Atlanta City Council President / DLA Piper attorney schedule on tap: breakfast meeting regarding city matter; morning visit to Brown Middle School with APS Super Carstarphen; noon lunch event with former U.S. Secretary of Transportation now law firm colleague Ray LaHood; opinion review and prep for a couple of financing transactions; calls to confirm a GC and a Global Company CEO for a major firm event; and several Annual National Night Out events around the city. But after Brown Middle and just before 12 noon, my title changed. I was just Daddy with a new schedule for day: pick up my sick 21 month old from school; trip to the pediatrician for a medical evaluation; stop at the pharmacy to be told the prescription for my baby girl wasnt quite ready; head to the house to get her fed and comfortable for the remainder of the day; cook dinner for my my wife after her long day teaching at Inman Middle; handle the dishes; change out of a suit sprinkled with gogurt, chocolate milk and apple sauce. Today was a really good Daddy day. And I am truly truly blessed!!
