I woke up this morning with my sinus hurting and running. I seen it wasnt going to get better so I had Pook take me to the clinic for meds and a shot to dry it up. I opened FB while waiting in the waiting room and saw a post from a previous guest that was here in February. She simply stated my sweet husband isnt hurting anymore and passed away last night at 11:15 PM last night. I thought I was going to throw up. I was shocked and was heart broken plus nauseated as I recalled this sweet family. I knew Gordons cancer was a very rare bile duct cancer and there wasnt much known about it but my he was such a fighter. I thought of the many times Heather and I talked, emailed and stayed in contact by FB because he was constantly fighting infections and winding back up in the hospital. I so related to her, she just put those big girl panties on and kept it all together and going. She had a wonderful church family in the Church of Christ in Bertram Tx. They also had a great support group of family and friends which she knew without all of them and God she would have never made it.I personally want to thank all of you people for being there for them. I knew he wasnt well and wound up in the hospital all the time but I never expected to open up my FB and see that he had passed away. I then realized, hey people have opened up FB many times and seen reports just like this on Pookie but for the Grace of God they could be shocked reading about him. I came back home and went back to bed and have not been able to get especially Heather off my mind. As far as from HCR, I want to thank Crystal Bonjour for going a way out of your way when they were here and bringing your kids and getting them tickets and 100 xtra tickets to Incredible Pizza, I believe Tammy Tullos gave Heather and Maxine another guest wife messages for Valentines Day.Longhorn Steak House for giving us a great Valentine dinner. Thank you Angels for leaving your DNA all over this family on the hardest year of their life. I am reminded of the scripture Gordon can say he lived in Philippians 1:20 So now Christ will be magnified in my body whether by life or by death. Keep the Wombles in your prayers as they work through these difficult times.
