I wonder...before all our technological advancements and computers, was life better for the workling class 40 years ago or today? My $.02, 40-50 years ago was more stable because people used to actually work to get money, learn how to use their motor skills, trouble shoot problems and hands to fix things and the folks who collected government aid were the disabled, not the unwilling. Sadly, over the past 10 years it seems many high school grads have lost the ability to comprehend even the most basic of life functions like making change, reading directions, following rules, telling time on a clock with hands on it, understanding fractions or even developing the drive or comprehension to WANT to (or be able to) support themselves. 40- 50 years ago, there was no easy way - you simply did what you had to do to survive, mist likely in jobs you never wanted to work. How about a discussion? Today or 5 decades ago - which was the easier time to support yourself and your family?
