I wonder how people randomly meet—in the busy street, in the crowded mall, in the opposite sides of a revolving door, or on their way home. I think of what two people see right through each other’s eyes that make them capture all those butterflies and keep them in their stomachs. I think of when they realize that their feelings are not fleeting and cannot wear off despite any touch of disappointment. I think of why they choose that person over others, why they choose to embrace those feelings. I think of how they compromise their differences, those shortcomings to fill in the void and meet halfway. I think of why people stay amidst the uncertainties, the instability of contentment, and the recurrence of difficulties. I think of why two people hold hands, kiss one’s forehead in the middle of a fight or hug each other in the pouring rain. I wonder how the world conspires—the time, the vast sky, the constellations, the coincidences (if there are such)—to make two people meet and fall in love eventually. I wonder how, what, when and why two people see beyond imperfections, and simply stay in love. - Continuously thinking and patiently wondering, 2009-56555, BA Communication Arts, CAS
