I work at a radio station and if I could turn down whats on the air right now I would, only because I dont want to hear the sorry excuses Rick Snyder is making on the air in response to the many listener questions coming in. And now hes talking about Detroit and I could just throw up! Its a lot of good things going on, look at downtown, look at midtown! Street lights have gone up, trash is being picked up, recycling is being picked up......RIGHHHHHT. You MEAN, Im pushing people out of their homes, privatizing resources, creating amenties that the 80% of blacks who make up Detroit cant afford, benefit from, or participate in because Im not creating these things FOR THEM. Same rehearsed BS story being told to those who are blinded by what LOOKS like good things happening, different day. How do we make sure our own people are included in the change taking place downtown and elsewhere and make sure there are amenities in place for them as well? And we cant forget water is STILL being shut off, you just tried to attack DPS teachers who have already gone through so much, and OUR people arent being put first. Dont get me wrong, its good stuff happening in Detroit (if you want to see REAL change, find out whats going on in the various grassroots movements and HELP those movements). Sadly, most of the good being done is to remove the bad that this man and others have created. I SEE GOOD ALL THE TIME, just not the FAKE good he speaks of. Creating alternative systems to depend on and contribute to is definitely the next move, and if you still believe in the SUPPOSED democratic process of voting, please do so RESPONSIBLY. COMMUNITY and LOVE will ALWAYS be the answer! The fight continues...
