I work from home for the most part and sit a lot of the time in front of a computer. I read an interesting article yesterday that says were not meant to be sitting for more than an hour at a time, so Ill be getting up once an hour to do squats or stretch or go up and down the stairs for 5 minutes. Do you sit for extended periods of time? Ill try to find the source but it sure resonated with me. Even though I walk the dogs and exercise almost every day, it still feels like Im sitting too much. Id like to get a treadmill desk. Our ancestors walked and moved a lot more than we do and were healthier for it too.
